In the Spring of 1989 the keel for the SUNDOWN was laid from a 12' X 12' X 47' piece of heart Fir. After a year and a half of
construction the hull was completed in 1990.She is constructed of inch & 5/8" Juniper wood and fiberglass with biaxial cloth and West System Epoxy on the bottom, and inch &1/2 Juniper wood ,
fiberglass with biaxial cloth and West System Epoxy. The interior of the hull is coated with three coats of West System Epoxy, and painted with Epoxy paint. This combination of Juniper and
fiberglass composite makes for a very stable and rugged hull. |

The Sundown has been repowered with a new 3406 Cat turbo
diesel, giving her more power and speed to get you to
the fish & home quicker. She has an exceptional amount of deck room with a wide beam. She also
features a 6'X 15' bimini extension from the back cabin wall for outside enjoyment and action, for those who wish not to sit in a cabin. The cabin has room for six passengers in inclement weather with a electra
san toilet in the forpeak.The SUNDOWN features the following electronics: a 21 mile Raytheon Radar, two Loran GPS plotters, Raytheon color scope, Dytec temperature gauges, VHF radios, and single-side band radio.

The SUNDOWN carries all US. Coast Guard required equipment including:
- Solace A self deploying life raft
- A category 1 EPIRB, single side band radio
- Type 1 life jackets for each passenger
- All required signaling devices, i.e. flare kits, charts, log books, first aid kits, etc.
