The SUNDOWN takes deep sea fishing trips that leave the dock at approximately 5:30 a.m. and return between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.  Hatteras Harbor Marina has a fish cleaning station for your catch of the day.  We also take half day trips that leave at 6:00 a.m. and return by 12:00.  Or you may take an afternoon trip from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.  This is an inshore trip, with catches of Spanish Mackerel, Tailor Bluefish, King Mackerel, trout, flounder, spot and croackers.

The SUNDOWN takes deep sea fishing trips for Bluefin Tuna and Rockfish or Striped Bass during the winter months.  The Sundown has a heated cabin for winter comfort.

The SUNDOWN welcomes families and parties of up to 6 individuals.  You should bring all your beverages, food, hats, cameras and lots of sunscreen.  Fishing for summer Dolphin (mahi mahi) is a great activity to introduce your children to a great fishing experience.  Who knows they may be the one to catch the biggest fish of the day.

The SUNDOWN is based out of Cape Hatteras, NC, Hatteras Harbor Marina, Slip #2.  She's 47 ft long and 17 ft wide with lots of stability and comfort. Captain Terry Metts has had 20 years fishing experience, and holds a Masters License.
